Redwood City Readies for Approaching Storm, Offers Free Sandbags

The following is a news release from the city of Redwood City:


City of Redwood City Monitoring Flood Prone Areas

In preparation for the next storm, the City of Redwood City is monitoring trouble spots within the community to watch for flooding. Residents that notice flooding in any area of Redwood City are encouraged to contact the Redwood City Police Department with emergency situations by calling 911 or City Public Works at (650)780-7464 for non-emergency situations.

Free Sandbags and Free “Fill Your Own Sandbags”

The City of Redwood City is offering free sandbags and an opportunity to “Fill Your Own Sandbags” for free to Redwood City residents. Stop by the Public Works Corporation Yard at 1400 Broadway to pick up or fill your own sandbags. This service is available at all hours to residents before and during the storm. Storms, Power Outages, and Safety
