Redwood City Retail Cannabis Clears Important Hurdle: Report
The proposal still needs the City Council's approval.
REDWOOD CITY, CA — Retail cannabis in Redwood City has cleared an important hurdle.
The city’s Planning Commission has recommended that the City Council approve zoning amendments that would allow retail cannabis businesses to open in zoning districts that already allow general retail, The San Mateo Daily Journal reports.
All cannabis shops would have to be at least 600 feet from schools, playgrounds and day care centers according to the report.
