Redwood City’s Top Cop To Address Body Cam Policy
Meeting will be held on Zoom Feb. 10 from 5 to 6 p.m.
REDWOOD CITY, CA — Redwood City Police Chief Dan Mulholland next week will address questions from the public about his department’s new policy for body worn cameras in a virtual meeting.
The meeting will be held on Zoom Feb. 10 from 5 to 6 p.m.
A brief presentation from the city’s top cop will be followed by his answering questions from the public submitted in advance via email or through the written Q&A feature of Zoom during the meeting.

“Obtaining and using the cameras has been a multi-year goal, prompted in part by a 2016 Grand Jury report recommending that all cities use them,” the city said in a statement.
“The technology is expensive but Redwood City was fortunate to receive federal grant funds for a portion of the cost. The policy was developed based on requirements tied to the federal grant, as well as local, state and federal regulations and best practices.”
