Redwood City Social Justice Rally Planned: Report
The protest follows the controversial arrest of a counter protester at a pro-police rally in Redwood City last week.
REDWOOD CITY, CA — A social justice protest calling for justice for Breonna Taylor and demanding an end to police violence will be held Friday in Redwood City, Climate Online reports.
A march from artist Jose Castro’s mural at 2nd Avenue and Middlefield Road in North Fair Oaks scheduled for 6:45 p.m. will be followed by a rally at Courthouse Square (2200 Broadway) at 7:30 p.m., according to a flyer posted on Facebook by the protest organizers.

The event is being co-organized by Tha Hood Squad and Justice Vanguard, the report said.

The Redwood City Police Department described the rally as a “community unity celebration” in a news release announcing the arrest of 30-year-old Jesilyn Faust, 30 on suspicion of obstructing, delaying or resisting a peace officer.
