Redwood City Temps To Dip, Then Rise Again: 7-Day Forecast

REDWOOD CITY, CA — With Labor Day behind us and the "unofficial" end of summer, the weather seems to finally be taking a cue and cooling down in the Bay Area. After a wave of record-breaking temperatures, a slight cool down appears to be on tap for most of the region. Temperatures are then expected to rise back up slightly come the weekend.

"Muggy conditions will persist Tuesday with temperatures falling back to near seasonal averages," the National Weather Service said. "Look for marine influences to increase through midweek as onshore flow returns to the region. An approaching upper level system will push inland to our north late in the week and help maintain cooler temperatures with only a slight chance of showers on Thursday."

As for Redwood City in particular, here's what the National Weather Service says is in store for the coming week:

Patchy smoke. Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. Breezy, with a light south wind becoming southwest 19 to 24 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph.

Partly cloudy, with a low around 62. Breezy, with a southwest wind 19 to 24 mph decreasing to 6 to 11 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph.

Wednesday
Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Breezy, with a light and variable wind becoming southwest 18 to 23 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.

Wednesday Night
Patchy fog after 11pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 19 to 24 mph decreasing to 9 to 14 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph.

Thursday
Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 74. West southwest wind 11 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.
