Phase2Careers Sponsors Career and Resources Fair in Redwood Shores

Phase2Careers is sponsoring a free event for job seekers on Friday, April 28, from 10am- 2pm.

This event will be held at the Sobrato Center for Nonprofits located on 350Twin Dolphin Drive in Redwood Shores. The Career and Resources Fair will offer a variety of services: an opportunity to meet with local employers, free resume reviews, and career workshops featuring a wide variety of topics, such as: Conducting your Job Search: Back to Basics presented by Dr. David Petrovay; Using LinkedIn in your Job Search by Recruitment and Marketing Specialist, Renee Sagon, SlingShot Connections; and Winning Interview Strategiesfrom a Recruiter, Presenter, John Hohulin, Chief of Staff from GenZe.

A partial list of the 30+ participating employers includes: CA Franchise Tax Board; MidPen Housing; Robert Half; Enterprise Holdings; The Education Team; Allied Universal; US Postal Service; PRA Health Sciences; First National Bank of Northern California; Wells Fargo; West Valley Staffing Group : Woodmont Real EstateServices; San Mateo Credit Union; Institute for Human and Social Development; EmbassySuites; and more.

This is an opportunity for job seekers to meet directly with a variety of employers, interact with job search experts/career coaches, and get specific feedback in one day,and is a tangible step for job seekers that really gets results. While targeted for the “Over 40” worker, this career fair is open to all adults, according to organizer, Ron Visconti.

The sponsor of the career event, Phase2Careers, is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicatedto serving the Over 40 worker.

Since 2010, Phase2Careers has offered numerous job search workshops and panels, employer and career industry panels, career change presentations, mock interviews, career assessment, and small business workshops.
