REDWOOD CITY, CA — A newly unveiled mural in downtown Redwood City honors the city’s Japanese chrysanthemum growers, The San Mateo Daily Journal reports.

The mural is currently on display at Roosevelt Plaza.

Claudio Talavera-Ballon, a San Francisco-based artist, created the colorful mural, the report said.

The site owner commissioned the mural along with the Redwood City Parks and Arts Foundation and the Redwood City 150th Celebration Committee, the report said.
