San Mateo County STEM Fair, Arts Expo Planned

From the San Mateo County Office of Education: This is not the science fair you remember. On Sunday, March 4th, the San Mateo County Office of Education will mix some STEM with Art to produce a whole lot of STEAM at the San Mateo County STEM Fair and Arts Expo.

What’s New this Year?

• The Art Expo – Student visual and performing art is definitely new this year
• The location – The San Mateo County Event Center
• The schedule – One day only! Sunday, March 4th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
• The scope – 700 students from public, independent, and charter schools across 19 school districts
• The expanded fun – Several exciting new interactive learning experiences

What’s the Same?

• Amazing STEM projects prepared by students from grades 5-12
• Students competing for prestigious awards and the opportunity to move on to state, national and international STEM Fairs
• Judging by STEM experts from industry, government, and education
• The opportunity to be inspired by the youth of our county
