San Mateo County Voters Preview: Key Offices Up for Election In Upcoming Primary

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — San Mateo County residents will vote for several key offices in the June 2 primary election, including federal, state, county and judicial offices.

Below is a summary of the key offices that will appear on the ballot, covering both voter-nominated partisan offices and nonpartisan local seats:

Federal and State Partisan Offices

Voters will decide on representation for the U.S. House of Representatives and State Legislative offices. The key federal races include:

  • U.S. Representative: Seats are open in District 15 and District 16.

State and County Nonpartisan Offices

In addition to the partisan races, several crucial nonpartisan offices are on the ballot:

  • State Superintendent of Public Instruction (full-term)
  • Countywide Offices: Superintendent of Schools, Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder, County Controller, and Treasurer-Tax Collector (all full-term).
