We seek an energetic young adult Christian who has a heart for teenagers, to lead our high school youth group. Experience working with teens is preferred but not essential. This is an informal fellowship group, whose purpose is to provide a safe place for youth to practice and deepen their faith. This group helps them connect Jesus’ teaching to their lives. They need an empathetic leader who will facilitate discussion of issues that concern them, model and help them develop their faith, healthy relationships, leadership skills, and ability to help others.
The group is small, multicultural, and has youth ages 12-17. They get along very well and really want the group to grow. The current group wants to take more responsibility for their programs. They enjoy discussion and love all kinds of games. Traditionally the group meets every Sunday after worship, 11:45-1:30, and this includes lunch. Meeting schedule is negotiable.
