Snow Report for Peninsula Residents Headed to Tahoe: Feb. 15
Will you need chains to get to Truckee and Tahoe this weekend?

More snow is predicted for Truckee and Tahoe through Sunday, forecasters said. National Weather Service officials say the snow level should stay between 5,000 to 6,000 feet. Thousands from the peninsula hope to head to the mountains to enjoy the piles of fresh powder but drivers are urged to check the road conditions before hitting the road. Officials ask drivers to bring chains and expect delays.
