Snow, snow and more snow! Snow is predicted in Truckee and Tahoe through Thursday but the sun will likely come out by the weekend, according to forecasters. National Weather Service officials say the snow levels should stay between 2,000 and 3,000 feet. A flood warning has been issued for Tahoe through Thursday afternoon.

Thousands from around the peninsula hope to head to the mountains to enjoy the piles of fresh powder but drivers are urged to check the road conditions before hitting the road. Officials ask drivers to bring chains and expect delays.
