The weekend weather in Truckee and Tahoe will likely be sunny, brisk and clear, according to weather officials. Thousands from around the peninsula hope to head to the mountains to enjoy the piles of fresh powder but drivers are urged to check the road conditions before hitting the road. Officials ask drivers to bring chains and expect delays.
