Storm To Dump Rain On Redwood City Before Slight Break

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — Peninsula residents can look forward to some more rain in the coming days, followed by a brief period of dry weather before the storms return, forecasters said Thursday.

"An active weather pattern will continue for the rest of the week with cool temperatures and periods of rainfall along with gusty winds at times," the National Weather Service said in its forecast discussion. "Dry conditions will develop over the weekend. Wet weather will potentially return during the first half of next week."

West southwest wind 7 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
