Temps May Hit 100 Degrees In Redwood City! Heat Advisory In Effect This Weekend

If you're planning your weekend around the Peninsula, get ready for a hot one. National Weather Service officials predict that many locations will see triple-digit temperatures and have issued a heat advisory from Saturday through Monday.

"A heat advisory is in effect for most inland locations for this weekend into early next week as temperatures warm to as much as 20 degrees above seasonal averages and begin to pose potential heat related illnesses," the NWS said. "Dry weather conditions and mostly clear skies will also prevail through the forecast period."

Forecasters suggest to try to limit your outdoor activity during this time, and make sure to drink plenty of water.

As for Redwood City in particular, here's the NWS weather forecast through Tuesday:

Sunny, with a high near 88. West northwest wind 11 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Tonight
Mostly clear, with a low around 59. West northwest wind 8 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Saturday
Sunny, with a high near 93. West northwest wind 5 to 13 mph.

Saturday Night
Clear, with a low around 62. West northwest wind 8 to 13 mph becoming light north northwest after midnight.

Sunday
Sunny and hot, with a high near 100. Light west northwest wind becoming west 6 to 11 mph in the afternoon.

Sunday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 60.

Monday
Sunny, with a high near 91.

Monday Night
Clear, with a low around 58.
