Two Households: Love by the Numbers in 'A Romeo and Juliet'

Audiences are invited to attend this complimentary presentation of lively insights from Rebecca J. Ennals, Artistic Director of San Francisco Shakespeare Festival and the director of the Free Shakespeare in the Park production of Romeo and Juliet (performing in Redwood City on the park-like grounds of historic Sequoia High School). Ms. Ennals’ talk asks why audiences have been so attracted to this play for over 400 years. Text from the play, read live by the actors, will demonstrate how the use of dualities in the play’s dramatic structure, figures of speech, and characterizations all add to its timeless appeal.
