Cory's life has followed an irregular arc. climbing at five, a high school dropout at 14, and the first American to climb an 8,000 meter peak in winter at 29, his path has been anything but 'normal'. Perhaps it is those experiences that have contributed to Cory's insatiable pursuit and passion for exposing the story and richness of the human element. A climber for the North Face athlete team, much of his work has extended from expeditions to the greater ranges of the world where he has carved a niche as one of the leading adventure and expedition photographers. "Expeditions are an incredible opportunity to strip away all the bullshit...to see who people are and how they respond to struggle, both external and internal...and it's that that tells a great story. Forget the glitter..." His work doesn't stop outside however.
