Due to recent changes in the direction of the Silicon Valley Clean Water (SVCW) 48-inch and 63-inch pipeline projects, the project will NOT be proceeding with construction along Skyway Road or Monte Vista Drive in San Carlos. That portion of the project had been scheduled to start this summer.
The SVCW (formerly South Bayside System Authority) staff, in conjunction with its study and research of alternative alignments for the 63-inch Force Main Reliability project, determined that the San Carlos portion of the 48-inch Force Main Reliability project will be redesigned with alternate alignments in order to minimize surface disruption from construction activities. That is why the project is not happening on the San Carlos streets.
