Water Main Break Shuts Down Alameda De Las Pulgas
San Carlos roadway shut down due to water main break.

Update 6 p.m.:
A portion of Alameda de Las Pulgas remains closed in San Carlos Tuesday afternoon because of a water main break, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
The water main break was reported at 2:23 p.m. in the 1700 block of Alameda de Las Pulgas.

Sheriff’s deputies are turning away traffic at the intersections of Alameda de Las Pulgas and Edgewood Road, Eaton and Emerald avenues and Eaton Avenue and Alameda de Las Pulgas, according to sheriff’s spokeswoman Deputy Rebecca Rosenblatt.
Water utility officials and firefighters are on the scene working to fix the water main break, but there is no estimate of when roads will be reopened, Rosenblatt said.

Drivers should expect delays and take alternate routes.

San Mateo County officials say that a San Carlos roadway has been shut down due to a broken water main.
According to Dan Bennett with the Office of Emergency Services, Alameda De Las Pulgas is closed between Edgewood Road and St. Francis Way.
“This is due to a large water main break in the area,” Bennett said in an email advisory. “The Sheriff’s Office is on scene providing traffic control. Please expect traffic delays in the area. Alternate routes advised.”
