'Well Below Average' Temps Expected In Redwood City: Weekend Weather Forecast

National Weather Service officials say there's a slight chance of showers in part of the Bay Area this weekend.

REDWOOD CITY, CA – Planning your weekend around the Bay Area? Though we're nearing summer, you can still expect some cooler temperatures.

"Temperatures will remain well below seasonal averages, especially inland, through the upcoming weekend," the National Weather Service said on Friday. "In addition, there is a slight chance of showers across the northern portion of the region Saturday with possible thunderstorms on Sunday afternoon."

Come next week, a gradual warming trend is expected.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 68. West wind 7 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Partly cloudy, with a low around 51. West northwest wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Sunday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 63. West wind around 14 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.

Mostly clear, with a low around 50.

Sunny, with a high near 70.
