Women Entrepreneurs Invited to 'Ready, Set, Succeed' in Redwood City
A local congresswoman is hosting the event in town on Monday, April 20.

Congresswoman Jackie Speier (San Francisco, San Mateo counties) will host Ready, Set, SUCCEED, a small business seminar for women, on Monday, April 20, 2015 at the Sobrato Center in San Mateo County. The seminar is designed to help current and aspiring Bay Area business owners succeed and overcome potential roadblocks.
The seminar will feature keynote speakers Jeanine Cotter, Co-founder and President of Luminalt, and Donna J. Davis, Regional Administrator from the U.S. Small Business Administration. Breakout sessions will include

“Women entrepreneurs run 9.1 million businesses in the U.S. and generate $1.4 trillion in sales each year,” said Speier. “Yet they face unique challenges, such as lack of access to capital or lack of confidence, that keep too many women from realizing their dreams.”
