• $249.98: Annual cost of improved fire service for Ripon households (mantecabulletin.com) — Ripon homeowners are being asked to pay about $250 more per year to fund six additional firefighters and reopen the North Ripon Road station, cutting response times in key parts of town. A town hall on the proposed parcel tax happens tonight at 6 p.m. at Ripon Fire Station on South Stockton Avenue, with ballots going to property owners starting June 12.
