2 People Injured in Oakland Assaults
Both men had to be hospitalized for their injuries.

OAKLAND, CA — Two people were injured in separate assaults Saturday in Oakland, police said.
The first occurred at about 5:30 p.m. in the 6100 block of Mountain Boulevard. A male victim suffered substantial breaks or fractures in the assault. He was taken to a hospital and was in stable condition this morning.
Police said there are two suspects at large. The suspects used personal weapons and a garden tool to injure the victim.

The second assault was reported at 10 p.m. in the 1700 block of Second Avenue. A male victim suffered a cut to his head and was taken to a hospital, according to police.
Officers are looking for one suspect who allegedly used a knife in the assault.
