Back to School: Superintendent Visits 6 Schools

The first day of school has been a busy one.

OAKLAND, CA — Oakland Unified School District Superintendent started the 2016-2017 school year by visiting six schools at five campuses across Oakland Monday, according to OUSD officials.

Superintendent Antwan Wilson started the day by boarding a school bus at 6:45 a.m. to ride with students to Korematsu Discovery Academy in East Oakland, OUSD officials said.

Other schools on the superintendent's itinerary: Sequoia Middle School, Claremont Middle School, Dewey High School and McClymonds High School.
