Chabot School Holds Fall Carnival on Sunday

Chabot Elementary School, 6686 Chabot Rd., will host its annual Fall Carnival — a tradition since at least the early 1980s, and probably even longer — on Sunday, Oct. 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free, and the community is invited.

Highlights include a Halloween costume contest at 1 p.m., a haunted house, face painting, music, juggling, a pumpkin patch and a cake walk. Children's games include the traditional Dunk Tank, with a chance to soak Chabot Principal Jonathan Mayer.

New this year is a Craft Fair with jewelry, clothing and vintage goods from local craftspeople.

Food trucks will be on site to provide lunch, and Dreyer's Ice Cream will have an sundae bar.

The carnival supports the Chabot Elementary School PTA and helps fund a variety of enrichment programs at the school.
