Free Walking Tours Of Oakland Scheduled
From the Beaux Arts-style City hall to the Paramount Theatre - take a look at the highlights of Oakland.

OAKLAND, CA — The city of Oakland is hosting a series of 90-minute walking tours every Wednesday and Sunday from May to October to showcase the town's history as an arts and entertainment destination.
Each tour begins at 10 a.m., and each of the eight tour options starts in a different part of town - mostly west of Lake Merritt.
Destinations include Old Oakland, the City Center Area, Uptown, Preservation Park, Chinatown and the waterfront at Jack London Square. There are also tours focused on the city's churches and temples, as well as
political landmarks that highlight historical contributions made by Oakland's African-American leaders.
