OAKLAND, CA —A fire at a two-story West Oakland duplex early this morning displaced three people, Oakland fire officials said.
Crews responded at 4:30 a.m. to the blaze in the 2500 block of Filbert Street, across from McClymonds High School. The fire was under control within 45 minutes, Battalion Chief Demond Simmons said.
No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $300,000, Simmons said.

The cause of the blaze, which burned the second floor, has not been determined. The fire is under investigation, Simmons said.
