Sampling the Menu at College Avenue's Ramen Shop
The long wait for a table at the new Rockridge restaurant is worth it, says one food critic.

The popularity of the new Ramen Shop at 5812 College Ave., Oakland means you often wait for up to an hour for a table — but the wait is worth it, the East Bay Express reports.
The bowls of ramen served up by three former Chez Panisse employees are probably the best in the East Bay, the Express restaurant critic says. But they are also expensive and a bit different from the traditional favorites of ramen fans.
Perhaps the best things on the menu are the appetizers, rice dishes and a black sesame ice cream dessert, the review says.
