OAKLAND, CA — A teenager who was fatally shot in East Oakland on Monday night was identified by police today as 18-year-old Jordan Holmes of Oakland.
Officers who responded to reports of gunfire in the 5700 block of Avenal Avenue at about 7:49 p.m. on Monday found Holmes suffering from a gunshot wound, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police haven't released any information about a motive or suspects in the shooting.
