Thousands To Enjoy Community Thanksgiving Dinner In Oakland
Free coats will also be given to the under served members of the community.
OAKLAND, CA —Thousands will be served Thanksgiving dinner late this morning and early this afternoon in Oakland as part of the 27th annual Thanksgiving Dinner and Coat Giveaway, city officials said.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Marriott City Center at 1001 Broadway, dinner will be served to thousands of underserved in Oakland.
The dinner is part of the city's effort to make sure people get enough to eat, according to city officials.

The city provides transportation to the dinner for people living in senior centers, low-income housing programs and shelters.
