Warriors Host Anti-Bullying, Anti-Violence Summit At Area School

The "Peaceful Warriors Summit" uses basketball and visual arts to promote positive solutions.

OAKLAND, CA – The Golden State Warriors will be hosting a Peaceful Warriors Summit at an East Oakland elementary school this afternoon to help educate children on solutions to violence and bullying.

The event will start at noon at East Oakland Pride Elementary School, but Warriors General Manager Bob Myers and forward Kevon Looney will arrive at 3 p.m. to talk with the 75 fourth and fifth grade students.

The summit uses basketball and visual arts as tools to have a positive impact on campus, and students will participate in anti-bullying workshops, according to organizers.
