1 Dead, 1 Injured In Car-To-Car Shooting In Santa Rosa: Police
The victims showed up in the parking lot of a health care facility where an employee called police.
SANTA ROSA, CA — One person was killed and another was injured in a car-to-car shooting Monday night in Santa Rosa, and police were still trying to piece together what happened.
The Santa Rosa Police Department got a call at 8:30 p.m. from an employee of a health care facility in the 1200 block of Fulton Road who said a victim of gunshot wounds had shown up in the parking lot, police Lt. Dan Marincik said in a news release.
Officers responded to find one victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head; the other victim had a gunshot wound to the arm.

There were numerous bullet holes in the victims' car, a white Chrysler sedan.
Detectives determined the victims were traveling southbound on Fulton Road between Guerneville Road and College Avenue when numerous rounds were fired at them from another car that was also traveling southbound.

After the victims were struck by the gunfire, they eventually made it to the parking lot on Fulton for help.
Both victims were taken to a local hospital.
The victim who suffered a gunshot wound to his head, a 24-year-old Santa Rosa man, died from his injuries.
The other victim, also a 24-year-old man from Santa Rosa, remained hospitalized in stable condition.
Detectives were working to get more details on the suspect and the suspect's car, as well as the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
Although it's still early in the investigation, detectives believe the shooting was gang related, Marincik said.
"Due to the violent nature of the investigation and the deceased individual, the victims’ names will not currently be released at this time," Marincik said.

A reward up to $2,500 is being offered by the Sonoma County Alliance for information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects in the shooting.
