12 of 14 Sonoma County Arrests Over Weekend Were DUIs
One suspect tried evading CHP on Highway 128.

The California Highway Patrol arrested 14 people in Sonoma County over the weekend, 12 of them on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Jose DeLeon, 22, of Cloverdale, was arrested for DUI after his BMW sedan hit a power pole on Scenic Avenue near Moorland Avenue south of Santa Rosa around 5:30 a.m.
The CHP officer smelled alcohol and marijuana when he contacted DeLeon, who failed sobriety tests, and he was taken into custody.

DeLeon was on probation for gang violations and dissuading a witness, the CHP said.
Pedro Lagunes, 42, of Santa Rosa was arrested for DUI after his Chevrolet Malibu was seen weaving on eastbound state Highway 12 near Dutton Avenue in Santa Rosa around 4 a.m. Sunday, the CHP said.

Lagunes failed field sobriety tests and his license had been suspended since 2009 for a prior DUI conviction, the CHP said.
Joel DeGallier, 32, of Ukiah, was arrested for DUI and evading police after a CHP pursuit in the Cloverdale area, the CHP said.
DeGallier’s Audi passed a vehicle at 77 mph in a 50 mile per hour zone on Old Redwood Highway, then turned onto state Highway 128.
A CHP officer pursued the Audi, which fled about a mile before a second CHP patrol car blocked his escape, the CHP said.
DeGallier’s level of intoxication was almost three times over the limit and he was booked for DUI and evading police.
