2 Arrested In Rohnert Park Theft Investigation

The investigation also led to the discovery of a large marijuana-growing operation being run out of a Rohnert Park home, police said.

ROHNERT PARK, CA — A theft investigation led to two arrests this week in Rohnert Park and the service of a search warrant at a local residence, police said.

Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety officers served a warrant at a home in the 400 block of Alta Avenue and found stolen property related to the investigation, as well as a loaded SKS rife and burglary tools, police said in a news release.

Officers had been investigating multiple thefts involving 35-year-old Adam Joseph of Rohnert Park, and he was taken into custody prior to the service of the warrant. His associate, 34-year-old Steven Kennedy, had a felony warrant for theft and was also taken into custody, police said.

While serving the warrant, officers also found that a large marijuana-growing operation was being run out of the residence, police said.

The residence was red-tagged by the city's code enforcement and deemed unhabitable.

Joseph was booked into Sonoma County jail on suspicion of burglary, possession of burglary tools, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and being a convicted felon in possession of ammunition. Joseph remained behind bars Friday with his bail set at $65,000.

His associate Kennedy also remained behind bars Friday but without bail because of the warrant.
