2 Injured In Tuesday Collision on Lakeville Highway

Two men were hospitalized Tuesday following a morning crash on Lakeville Highway at the South McDowell Extension, Petaluma police said.

A 66-year-old Petaluma man attempted to make a left-hand turn from the South McDowell Extension onto westbound Lakeville Highway and collided with a car driven by a Cloverdale man, 59, who was traveling eastbound on Lakeville, police said.

The two were transported to Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the collision. One man was treated and released, and the other was admitted for a collapsed lung and two broken ribs, police said.

Both vehicles sustained major damage.
