2 Teens Arrested In Gang-Related School Assault: Police
The two suspects, both 17-year-old students at Ridgway, were believed to be associated with a criminal street gang, police said.

SANTA ROSA, CA — Two teenage boys were arrested after an assault that took place in a bathroom at Ridgway High School, Santa Rosa police said Friday.
Officers were called to the school at 325 Ridgway Ave. about 11:45 a.m. Thursday after a student reported a bruise on his head, symptoms of a possible concussion and an injury to his left shoulder. He was taken to an area hospital where he was treated and released.
The two suspects, both 17-year-old students at Ridgway, were believed to be associated with a criminal street gang, police said.

Several additional confrontations and challenges to fight occurred later Thursday among students on campus. School administrators placed the campus on temporary lockdown and asked police to remain while staff worked to restore order.
One of the teen suspects was arrested about 4 p.m. during a traffic stop in Healdsburg. A 24-year-old passenger in the vehicle, Angelo Avila, of Healdsburg, was allegedly carrying a loaded gun in his waistband, police said.

The second suspect was taken into custody about 4:30 p.m. in a traffic stop in Santa Rosa, police said.
Both teens were booked into Sonoma County Juvenile Hall for battery causing serious bodily injury and participation in a criminal street gang.
Avila was booked into the Sonoma County jail accused of carrying a loaded firearm and carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle, police said.
