2 Teens Shot After Fight Breaks Out Sunday Night At Apartment Complex

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – Two Santa Rosa teenagers are in the hospital after being shot in Santa Rosa Sunday night, a police spokesman said.
A 19-year-old was rushed into surgery and is in critical condition, Santa Rosa Police Sgt. Tommy Isachsen said. An 18-year-old was treated and is in serious, but stable condition.
Police received reports at 10:11 p.m. of a fight and then gunshots being fired in the complex area of the Pioneer 2000 Apartments, located at 2021 Pioneer Way, Isachsen said.

The victims were in the complex when a vehicle pulled up and a fistfight broke out.
Apartment residents reported seeing and hearing gunshots being fired and a vehicle fleeing, Isachsen said.

Members of the police department's Gang Crimes Team believe this was a targeted gang incident.
