4 Suspects At Large In North Bay Home-Invasion Robbery: Police

The victim was accosted and robbed by two black males with ski masks and two white, possibly Latino females, who all had guns, police said.

ROHNERT PARK, CA — Four suspects in a Rohnert Park home-invasion robbery were at large Wednesday, according to police. The robbery was initially reported at about 11 p.m. Tuesday as a physical fight at an apartment complex at 655 Enterprise Drive, Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety Deputy Chief Aaron Johnson said in a news release.

Officers arrived to find a man hiding behind a car in the parking lot who had blood all over his head and face, and was suffering from multiple lacerations to his head, Johnson said.

An investigation was initiated, which revealed the victim was inside his apartment when he heard a knock on the door. The victim told police he opened the door after looking through the peephole, believing it was his female neighbor who was standing on his porch.

The victim "was immediately accosted by two black males with ski masks and two white, possibly Latino females," Johnson said.

"All four had handguns in their hands," Johnson said. "One of the males knocked the victim to the ground and began hitting him in the head with an unknown firearm. The other male began ransacking the house."

The two female suspects reportedly asked the victim where his roommate was while pointing their guns at the victim, who was on the ground.

"The suspects said the roommate owed them money," Johnson said.

The victim told the suspects his roommate wasn't home and was incarcerated.

One of the male suspects found a safe in the bedroom and demanded the victim open it, police said.

"The suspect pointed his firearm at the victim and threatened his life if he did not unlock the safe," Johnson said.

The safe was opened and the suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The suspects also took the victim’s wallet, cellphone and watch before leaving the apartment complex in a black sedan, possibly a Hyundai, according to police.

The victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he was treated for minor head injuries from being hit multiple times with the pistols, Johnson said.

"The only information regarding the suspects are two black males and two white or Hispanic females," Johnson said.

Police were actively searching for the suspects Wednesday, and said the names of the victim and roommate were not being released because the incident was still under investigation.
