Rohnert Park Votes On New Public Safety Director (patch.com) — Rohnert Park residents can weigh in as the City Council considers hiring Ignacio Richard Navarro as the new public safety director and funding eight replacement public safety vehicles. The meeting also covers a library commission appointment, pavement and radio system projects, a Boys and Girls Club lease, and recognition of local park improvements, with a proclamation marking Women's Equality Day in Rohnert Park.

Man Suspected Of Child Trafficking In Rohnert Park Arrested (patch.com) — Rohnert Park police report that a recent undercover operation targeting people seeking to sexually exploit minors led to the arrest of a suspect on human trafficking, lewd conduct, and drug-related charges involving a minor. The operation, conducted locally on Aug. 20, focused on identifying individuals attempting to arrange commercial sexual activity with minors in the Rohnert Park area.

Copper thefts at Graton Resort & Casino, Napa construction site lead to arrest of two Bay Area men (mercurynews.com) — Rohnert Park's Graton Resort & Casino was one of several sites hit in a string of copper thefts totaling about $140,000 across Sonoma and Napa counties. Investigators say two Bay Area men, now facing charges in Napa County, were arrested after surveillance linked them to stolen pipes and wiring at the casino and a Napa construction site.
