Assault Arrests Lead To Discovery Of Marijuana Grow

Sonoma County sheriff's deputies, who were investigating an assault, discovered a large marijuana grow early this morning, a sheriff's sergeant said.

Deputies responding to a report of screaming in the 4500 block of Labath Avenue near Rohnert Park found a partially nude male on the side of the road who was bleeding from wounds on his head and body, Sgt. Carlos Basurto said.

The victim, later identified as 28-year-old Elijah Bonnet, of Chico, suffered wounds believed to be from a blunt object. His injuries are not life-threatening, and he was admitted to a hospital, Basurto said.

The deputies then found 26-year-old Andrew Agliata, of Santa Rosa, with blood on his body and clothing walking near where the victim was found, Basurto said. Agliata was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, Basurto said.

At the Labath Avenue residence, deputies also arrested Anthony Falcone, 45, and Jeffrey Mays, 38, on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

Deputies also found a hash lab and marijuana grow and removed 87 large plants from the residence, Basurto said.

Two children and three adults also were living on the property.

Deputies arrested Timbre Bishop, 26, Melissa Monan, 31, and 69-year-old Stephen Erickson on suspicion of cultivation and sales of marijuana, manufacturing a controlled substance and child endangerment, Basurto said.

The motive for the assault is still under investigation, but it is not believed the marijuana was involved, Basurto said.
