SMART Station Cleared After Police Shut-Down, Shooting Reported In North SR

The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office lifted a warning to avoid a local SMART station at 10:55 a.m.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A Santa Rosa SMART station has reopened after authorities issued a warning to avoid the area and site.

The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office issued an alert at 10:55 a.m. to avoid the area of the Smart Train Station at 3748 Regional Parkway in Santa Rosa.

Deputies cited police activity in the area for the shut down.

The station was reopened at 11:20 a.m.

Authorities have not yet cited the reason for the alert.
