Bank Robber Sought By Santa Rosa Police
Police did an extensive search for the suspect in a Chase Bank robbery but he remains at large.

SANTA ROSA, CA — Santa Rosa police are searching for a bank robber who claimed to be armed Monday when he passed a demand note to a Chase Bank teller.
The robbery happened at 12:07 p.m. at the Chase Bank branch in the 2300 block of Sonoma Avenue, Santa Rosa police Sgt. Christopher Mahurin said.
The suspect was given an unknown amount of cash, then left the bank and walked eastbound, Mahurin said.

"No employees or clients were injured," Mahurin said.
The suspect was described as a white man in his late 40s or early 50s between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall with a heavy build. He was wearing a green knitted cap (beanie), a gray hoodie and gray sweatpants.

"Numerous officers were dispatched to the bank and searched the area for the suspect," Mahurin said. "After an extensive area search, the suspect was not located."
The investigation was continuing Monday afternoon and detectives are seeking to speak with anyone who may have information related to the robbery.
Police asked anyone who witnessed the robbery or has information that would be helpful to investigators to contact the Santa Rosa Police Department through its online tip line, Srcity.org/CrimeTips.
A reward of up to $2,500 is offered by the Sonoma County Alliance Community Engagement and Safety Rewards Fund for information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects.
