"Preliminary investigation indicated the bicyclist was standing next to his bicycle on the southwest corner of the intersection," deRutte said. "The driver of the Peterbilt was stopped for a red light in the eastbound direction and noticed the bicyclist was stationary to his right."
On a green light, the Peterbilt moved into the intersection at "a very slow speed," deRutte said.

The bicyclist entered the crosswalk against a red signal light, directly in the path of the Peterbilt, at which point the Peterbilt immediately stopped, deRutte said.
