Bike Path Update 12/5

So today I see that they went and installed some Vertical Root Guards, but they never installed the Horizontal Root Guards, or the Geotextile membrane, or the 6” x 6” Wire Mesh as Required by Contract, and they didn’t scarify the top 12” of the Old Base Rock, And Re compact the Top 6” to 90% Compaction. That caused the whole Path to be raised by 6” causing water to gather at G Park and All alone the G And H Sections Fence Lines.

And as you can see the Compacted Road Base Fines are already washing away. This lets the water drain down the sides of the Concrete on both sides.

And when a Bike Tire hits the edge it will sink in.

This will also cause the Base below the PCC to Loose it’s Structural Strength. And now the water goes right down the Root Guard areas.

So again as I posted from day one it’s all wrong from the start. They didn’t do at least half of the Lump Sum Bid Job. You can see all my other posts, and each one was sent to the city.

And the City lets them continue doing it wrong as they stand and watch.

And so much for Safety, they had a morning Site Safety Meeting with all the men. 30 minutes later they were all working like crazy pounding in Metal Form Steaks, And wooden ones. NOT ONE PERSON WAS WEARING THEIR SAFETY GLASSES, EVEN THE BOSSES!
