Celebrate Rancho Cotate 60th Anniversary Friday, Founders Day Saturday

ROHNERT PARK-COTATI, CA —Rancho Cotate High School will mark its 60th anniversary with a fireworks display after its homecoming football game Friday.

On Saturday, the Founders’ Day Parade will start at 10:30 a.m. at Lawrence Jones Middle School, travel south on Snyder Lane, and end at Rancho Cotate High School. Public Safety said it will close southbound Snyder Lane between the schools during the parade.

Access to both schools’ parking lots will be restricted, and vehicles cannot exit through Rancho Cotate High School’s main driveway until the parade ends.

Founders’ Day festivities will continue at the Rohnert Park Community Center complex after the parade.

Public Safety advised drivers to allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes.

Drivers should also expect intermittent closures where Snyder Lane meets Circulo Grande, Parkway Drive, San Francisco Way, Medical Center Drive, Jasmine Lane, Camino Creek, and Camino Corto. Traffic on Rohnert Park Expressway may stop intermittently in both directions at Snyder Lane.

Northbound Snyder Lane will close to regular through traffic during the parade, although police may direct some vehicles northbound to leave areas along the route.
