Chihuahua Pup Found Abandoned with Broken Legs
The puppy was found on the campus of Santa Rosa Junior College and authorities are looking for the perpetrator.

Santa Rosa Junior College District police and Sonoma County Animal Services are investigating the abandonment of a Chihuahua puppy with two broken front legs in a Dumpster on the SRJC campus last week.
A SRJC employee found the puppy on Oct. 27 in a Dumpster in the Bech parking lot near the greenhouse in Lark Hall, police said in a news release.
The employee took the puppy to an animal hospital where it received medical attention before it was then taken by Sonoma County Animal Services.

SRJC police were notified about the abandoned and injured puppy the next day.
The puppy did not have identification tags or a microchip identifying its owner, SRJC police said.

Anyone who saw something suspicious near the Dumpster or has information about the abandonment is asked to call Sonoma County Animal Services Officer Justin Foster at (707) 565-7100.
