CHP Arrest 21 Over the Weekend
A Cotati man with a suspended license was among the suspects taken into custody.

The CHP announced that Santa Rosa Area CHP officers made 21 arrests over the weekend, including:
On Saturday at approximately 8 p.m. an officer providing speed enforcement on Lakeville Highway near Old Lakeville #2 observed a Chevrolet sedan at a high rate of speed southbound. The officer confirmed the vehicle’s speed at 77 in a 55 mph zone. The officer pulled out behind the sedan and made an enforcement stop. He contacted the driver who was identified as Derek Krutsinger, 28, of Stockton. Krutsinger was found to have a suspended license since 2010. The officer noted signs of intoxication as well as an opened bottle of whisky on the back seat. The officer began a DUI investigation and Krutsinger was subsequently arrested. A records check showed Krutsinger had a warrant out for his arrest for DUI and driving while suspended as well as multiple convictions. He was booked on charges of DUI and driving while suspended.
At 1:04 a.m. Sunday CHP officers on patrol on Stony Point Rd. near Todd Rd. observed an Acura SUV that was ahead of them southbound. The officers noted that the brakes were being repeatedly applied and it was weaving. The officers made an enforcement stop and contacted the driver who was identified as Reynaldo Robles-Baez, 29, of Santa Rosa. The officers noted the strong smell of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Robles-Baez was unable to provide any identification or vehicle information. Robles-Baez’s license was found to be suspended for 2 prior DUI convictions. Officers noted signs of impairment and Robles-Baez failed field sobriety tests. Robles-Baez was arrested for driving under the influence of marijuana. The Acura was impounded.
At approximately 4:50 p.m. Sunday CHP dispatch received a call of a reckless driver on southbound 101 south of Geyserville. A CHP officer entering the freeway at Lytton Springs Rd. observed the Chevrolet Impala pass by him at a high rate of speed. He confirmed the vehicle’s speed at 86 mph. The officer activated his lights and made a stop just south of Healdsburg. The driver was identified as Karen Marquez, 27, of Kelseyville. Marquez was found to have 8 license suspensions and was on probation for 2 previous DUI convictions. Marquez showed signs of intoxication and the officer began a DUI evaluation. Marquez was estimated to be over 3 times the legal limit. Marquez was arrested and booked on charges of DUI, driving while suspended and violation of probation.
At 5:00 p.m. Sunday a CHP officer on Rohnert Park Expressway was flagged down by a passing motorist. The driver identified himself as an off-duty San Francisco police officer. He stated that he had been following a Toyota Camry that had been speeding, weaving and almost causing several collisions. The CHP officer responded and found the vehicle at Commerce Blvd. He made an enforcement stop and contacted the driver, identified as Antonio Nunez, 41, of Cotati. A records check revealed that Nunez has had a suspended license since 2006 and 2 prior DUI convictions. The officer noted signs of intoxication and Nunez failed field sobriety tests. He was booked on charges of DUI and driving while suspended.
