CHP: Petaluma Woman, 21, Clocked Driving 110 mph On Hwy 101

The woman was arrested near Windsor after a brief chase and struggle.

A 21-year-old Petaluma woman was arrested for reckless driving after a California Highway Patrol officer clocked her driving 110 mph on northbound U.S. Highway 101 in Sonoma County early Friday morning.

A CHP officer on patrol on northbound Highway 101 saw a Toyota Solara speed pass his location just south of Windsor.

The officer attempted to overtake the vehicle as the driver allegedly made multiple lane changes while speeding.

The officer recorded the Toyota traveling at 110 mph as it approached Shiloh Road, the CHP said.

When the officer initiated an enforcement stop, the driver pulled over the vehicle.

The driver, identified as Michaela Kolodin, 21, was ordered out of the vehicle, but when the officer began to place her under arrest for reckless driving, Kolodin tried to twist free and began struggling with the officer.

The officer was able to regain control and placed Kolodin under arrest for reckless driving as well as resisting arrest, the CHP said.
