City Of Cotati: Evacuation Drill On September 15

The Cotati Police Department, Sonoma State University Police Department and Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety will conduct a joint mock evacuation drill using HI-LO siren equipped patrol vehicles. HI-LO sirens are used by all Sonoma County Law Enforcement Agencies to evacuate citizens for emergencies, including but not limited to fires. HI-LO sirens will only be used for evacuations. When you hear the HI-LO it’s time to GO!

This is only a drill and we ask that you not evacuate on this date. You can receive emergency alerts through Nixle by visiting www.nixle.com -OR- texting your zip code to 888777 to start receiving mobile Nixle alerts to your cellular phones.

In a real evacuation, you will receive information from the City through Nixle and other channels giving you information on what and where the threat is so you can evacuate in a safe direction of travel.
