City and GCC Only Did 20% of the Lump Sum Bid Job As Designed!

The City Paid Green Vally Consulting Engineering To Do The Design Work, Then GCC And The City Didn't Do Half The Work, For $1,000,000.00,

So the City allowed the Contractor to only do Half the work spelled out in the Lump Sum Bid Contract. And the Inspector watched them do the whole thing wrong. Even after they were all informed it was being install wrong, and they let them keep going so they ended up doing the whole job out of code, and Engineering Design.

Then after I have been sending photos to the City showing just how wrong the work was being done compared to the Contract, the City took the Public Contract And Design Spec Off the Projects Site. But it was too late because I copied all the Contract Information.

As you can see in the Latest Photos the Contractor didn’t do any of the Below Grade work that they were contracted to do.

Starting with my first notifying the City that they just ground a 8’ wide path in the Old Asphalt, and covered it up right away without doing any of the required work in the sub base rock. They didn’t remove the Roots, or install the Geo-fabric, or the Horizontal Root Barrier. They went after I told everybody and installed the Vertical Root Guards on the G Sections Path, but didn’t even do anything on the H Sections Path. They covered it up before I exposed them for doing it wrong.

So as you can see the whole path is Too High And causes water to stay all along the fence line.

And they installed a curb instead of a ADA Ramp as the Contract Shows at the end of the new Sidewalk at the end of Graymill Court.

They put #4 Rebars on top of the #4 Laterals. The Contract calls for 6”x6” welded wire mesh to go on top of the Laterals. And a 3” Clearance to the Forms. They didn’t even give it a 1” Clearance in places

No QA/QC was done on the Concrete. No slump tests, No Break Samples taken.

So the Residents were Taken for over One Million Dollars Plus Green Valleys Engineering Costs, City Costs. And we got Crap as usual!
